Shri H.S.B.M. Jain Girls Inter College Vikasnagar (Dehradun) is a government aided recognized higher secondary school. It is the only school for girls in Pachwadoon and hilly tribal area of Jaunsaar – Bawar. Founded in 1949, school imparts sound moral and intellectual development to 1000 odd students. Most of the students hail from underprivileged and economically backward families. School imparts free education up to 8th standard. In higher classes, nominal charges are taken as prescribed by the Government.
Majority of girls in the school belongs to the reserved and underprivileged groups which comprise of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled tribes and other minority groups. Details are as under:

Our School is affiliated to “UTTARAKHAND EDUCATION AND EXAMINATION BOARD”. Courses in Humanities,Social Sciences and Sciences are available . Every year students achieve their best in the field of education and sports thereby bringing glory and fame to school.
The school campus is spread over 80,000 square feet of area holding 25 rooms, computer lab, science labs and a spacious hall where various cultural programmes are held time to time.
Besides this, school has a big and well equipped library treasuring book on different subjects and interests. The school has a big play ground where students practice their sports skills. Moreover school offers a healthy and green environment to the students .
Our School has earned special privileges by welcoming various leaders like Shri Morarji Desai, Pandit Govind Ballabh Pant, Shri Mahavir Tyagi, Shri U.N. Dhebar (Ex President of Indian National Congress) Shri Dharam Dev Shastri (renowned social activist), Shri N.D. Tiwari and Shri Vijay Bahuguna .
Though the school tries it’s level best in promoting quality education but due to financial constrains , the overall development of the school gets restricted. Believe us, a little financial aid can ignite the hidden talent of the many more students in our school.
